Rashi Singh – recipient of Global Citizenship award (with an audio interview)

Melbourne, Australia: Rashi Singh – a high school student of Nepalese origin, has received the Global citizenship award by the Victorian Minister for Education, Martin Dixon. VCE student Miss Singh living in West Brunswick, Melbourne received the award on 23rd of May 2013 in the Parliament House. She was awarded for her contribution to enhance brotherhood and friendship among local and international students.
Rashi Singh came to Australia in 2009. Every year she use to organize multicultural festival, games and food festival. Miss Singh also made short film on Dashain and Tihar and organised programs to show it. She is living with her father Rajesh Singh and mother Rekha Singh. She wants to be management student in the future.
In her interview, Rashi talks about difficulties that international students face, she gives advice to other newly arrived international ones and describes the activities she organises to build bridges between international and local students. Please click here to listen her interview
