Nepal-India border security meeting in India

ITAHARI: Nepali and Indian officials held a meeting in Arariya district of Bihar in India on controlling criminal activities along the border.
Chiefs of local administration, police chiefs and chiefs of land survey and customs offices of Morang and Sunsari districts of Nepal and Arariya district of Bihar took part in the meeting. The meeting agreed to solve border issues between the two countries within a month, according to Sunsari assistant CDO Basudev Ghimire.
They agreed to hold at least four joint meetings every year and also visit the sites wherever the border disputes arise.
The two sides agreed to put border security personnel on alert to curb cross-border crimes and cooperate for security in view of the local elections in Bihar.
