Darjeeling: “Democratic and Gandhivadi movement will no longer help in achieving Gorkhaland. In fact after series of conspiracies hatched by the West Bengal Government the people of Darjeeling Hills have become like a wounded tiger. The time has now come for us to raise arms and fight for Gorkhaland,” Gorkha Janmukti Yuva Morcha Kurseong Sub-Division President Pemendra Gurung said addressing a gathering at Chowk Bazaar, Darjeeling yesterday. Warning the State Government, Gurung said, “We are ready to enter the forests and fight for Gorkhaland. The Government has not bothered about our demands and aspirations because so far we have been following a democratic norms. I ask our party President Bimal Gurung to allow us to unleash an armed struggle and we will teach

the Government and the opposition parties a lesson.  How long are we to suffer? There has been too much of democracy and peace in Darjeeling Hills. A number of political parties have been doing anti-Gorkhaland work in the name of democracy and peace.”

Gurung further said, ” The Communist Leaders are slowly entering Darjeeling Hills. Now we will remove these opposition leaders like unwanted particles from a Nanglo. They are trying to tarnish our flag. They are also trying to buy people out. There are chances of turmoil in the hills in the coming future.”

The public meeting organised by the Gorkha Janmukti Yuva Morcha was attended by a large number of supporters from all over Darjeeling Hills.
